I grew up listening to these tunes and oh how I miss being able to hear them on a regular radio station. Thanks to Bill Gardner and his show "Rhapsody in Black" that is broadcast in the Los Angeles area on 90.7 KPFK, you can still find a 2 hour a week window on public radio that still plays them. Unfortunately for me, I no longer live in LA and I don't get to look forward to his show. ( http://www.kpfk.org/programs/140-rhapsodynblack.html) ...and so I thank Youtube for making all of these oldies still accessible!
And as for the Drifters...how many great songs did they grace us with?! Here are a few of my faves!
