Afro-Cuban Folkloric Classes in L.A.
If you're interested in learning Afro-Cuban Folkloric percussion and song, my brother teaches a class out of his studio in Los Angeles. He has over 15 years of experience and studied/played with his Cuban maestro all of those years. My brother is a fantastic teacher and player and will be a great place to start for those without experience and also for those who also have years of experience. Amongst his students, he has fellow Afro-Cuban drummers, an ex Blue-Man Group percussionist and numerous other musicians from L.A. and surrounding locales, as well as regular people with an interest in what he teaches. He has plenty of drums and percussive instruments at his studio, so don't worry if you don't already own your own drum. He is very knowledgable about many types of music and is always eager to share! Don't miss out on this opportunity! Go visit Troy at ABC Music and Dance!
